Our Slippers Day today was GREAT!  I was also so proud of how everyone rocked the Scarecrow Scramble, amassing 269 laps total as a class!  We have also started an new IB unit called, “How We Organize Ourselves,” with the Central Idea being “Order drives the systems in our world.”  Today, we took a look at where order is found in the Preamble of our Constitution, and I took a picture of the whiteboard to capture some of the students’ thinking.  I also attached some pictures below of some of their questions on order.  I’m excited to see where the unit takes our understanding of order throughout the world!
Have a wonderful long weekend, everyone!

1) Math: none from the book.  Please redo low-scoring quizzes.  Remember that the term ends next Friday the 26th, and I cannot accept any work from Term 1 after it ends!
2) Read 20 minutes and get it signed–remember that every day read must be signed!!

Items of Business:
*Class Store: If you have any extra soda, candy, trinkets, jewelry, or toys that you would like to donate to class store, please send it with your child!  We are having our first one next week, and we would like to do it more often to serve as a motivator for positive behavior!
